PR Cases & Problems

MASSCOMM455- PR Cases & Problems, was taught by Dr. Ganahl at Bloomsburg University. In this class, we looked at many cases regarding corporate social responsibility, smart advertising, crisis communication, and even human condition problems within the United States. These works were done in a group to promote team building and understanding of content.

Incarceration Presentation

In this presentation with partner Kevin Johnson, we explored the United State’s unique condition regarding incarceration rates, along with looking at the populations filling state, federal, and juvenile prison. We also targeted drug offenses, which seems to take on a giant role in non-violent offenses. Lastly, we took a look at possible CSR partners to help inmates live a better life and get back into the working force.

COLA Research & Creative Projects Day

During this presentation, we took our incarceration works and combined it with another group dealing with education. From there, we took a look at how education affects the rates of incoming inmates, and how education within the prison system can offer an opportunity for positive change. We presented this via poster setup on April 25, 2018 at Bloomsburg University.

Haagen Dazs Loves Honey Bees

In this presentation, fellow classmate Kevin Johnson and I took a look at the success of Haagen Dazs and their campaign to save their honey bees- lifeforms that fuel many of the ice cream company’s products. Without them, many of their flavors cannot exist. We present how the company went about doing this, how much money they raised, and even how the campaign is still running today. Looking at how companies become good corporate citizens helps us understand our buying habits, loyalty, and our awareness for what problems are around us (and how we can help).
